There are different methods of implementing imprinted concrete. The one to avoid is "Stamped Overlay". It's relatively inexpensive to install but since It's only a thin coating that's sprayed over existing concrete and then patterned using stencils or tape, it doesn't always hold up well and can crack exposing the old concrete.
The best and most economical method is "Concrete Engraving and Staining". Here's how it works. First, a penetrating stain is used to color the concrete. Then a permanent, precise pattern is engraved (cut) INTO the hard concrete surface with a diamond blade engraving machine. A clear top coat is applied to seal the surface area and the process is complete!
The results are stunningly beautiful and permanent.
